WorkCover NSW manages the State's workplace safety, injury management,
and workers compensation systems. WorkCover NSW works with industry, the
workforce, and insurers to:

Comcare Australia Comcare
is responsible for workplace safety, rehabilitation and compensation in
the Commonwealth jurisdiction. Comcare is a statutory authority reporting
to the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations and administers two
Acts of Parliament:
Comcare supports the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission
in exercising its functions and powers. These relate broadly to the
regulation of workplace safety, rehabilitation and compensation
performance under the and the OHS(CE) Act and SRC Act.
Australian Society of
Rehabilitation Counsellors [NSW Branch] The Ergonomics Society of
Australia (ESA) is the professional organisation of Ergonomists in
Australia. Its purpose is to promote the principles and practice of
ergonomics throughout the community. It has over 500 members. ESA is one
of 36 federated societies worldwide that comprise the International
Ergonomics Association (IEA).

WorkCover ACT WorkCover is a government agency working primarily to
eliminate death, disease and injury in the workplace. This work is
supported by three main Acts: the Occupational
Health and Safety Act 1989; the Workers
Compensation Act 1951; and the Dangerous
Goods Act 1975.
The Australian Psychological
Society The Australian Psychological Society (APS) is the largest
professional association for psychologists in Australia, representing
around 13,000 members. The APS is committed to advancing psychology as a
discipline and profession. It spreads the message that psychologists make
a difference to peoples’ lives, through improving scientific knowledge and
community well-being.

The Workers Compensation
Resolution Service [WCRS] From 1 January 2002, the new Workers Compensation Commission will
determine disputes on worker's compensation claims (where the claim was
made on or after 1 January 2002) and deal with some other matters. The
Commission aims to provide a fair and flexible dispute resolution process
that ensures workers entitlements are paid promptly so that injured
workers can resume their normal lives with less impact on their long-term
health. The Workers Compensation Commission will replace the Workers
Compensation Resolution Service (WCRS). The Compensation Court will
continue to deal with disputes in relation to claims made prior to 1
January 2002.

and Justice Foundation of NSW seeks to advance the fairness and equity of

CompensationCourtDecisions This database contains selected
decisions of the Compensation Court of New South Wales since 1985 as
reported in the NSW Compensation Court Reports (NSWCCR) with abbreviated
headnotes. The database also contains selected full text decisions of the
Court from 1999. These later decisions may subsequently be published in
NSWCCR Volumes in edited format and with detailed headnotes.
